Dependable Kid Care's 25th Anniversary Reunion Celebration
Tasha Raye Ryan, LFCCP
My name is Tasha Raye Ryan and I have been a Massachusetts Licensed Family Childcare Provider since December of 1990. I offer integrated childcare in my home, a “home away from home” atmosphere, in Haverhill, MA for children age newborn – 16 years; over 30 years experience in caring for both typical children and children with varying needs. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and MACC (Medication Administration in Child Care), I am a CNA and a CHHA, with experience and special training in various learning, developmental, social-emotional, and medical needs (including, but not limited to, Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, PTSD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety/ Depression, Epilepsy, Juvenile Diabetes, CHARGE Syndrome, Hearing and Visual disabilities, Asthma, and a number of severe allergies including food, medication, latex and environmental).
I am a wife to Jim ~ a proud mother of three grown children, Ashleigh, Justin, and Joshua ~ and a doting grandmother to four amazing little ones, Mark, Stella, Jackson, and Anita. I began my journey in early childhood as a Nanny. After the birth of my daughter, the family I was caring for agreed to bring their son to my home and my business grew from there. Based in Methuen at that time, Dependable Kid Care saw many children pass through our doors, most of whom I am still in contact with today. After the birth of my first son, Dependable Kid Care moved to our current location in 1994 and has been proudly serving families from Haverhill and the Merrimack Valley ever since. I have been very fortunate to have been able to stay home with my children and grandchildren. I have also been blessed to have had a hand in helping to raise hundreds of other people’s children over 30 years. Open and honest communication and trust are undoubtedly two of the most important factors in childcare. I want you and your child to feel comfortable in my home and I want you to know that when you go to work that your most precious gift is in capable and loving hands!!!
I am an active member of the FCCA (Family Child Care Association of the Merrimack Valley), The Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children (MAAEYC) and The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I am a Pillar Provider through Neighbor Schools.
I am involved in my community and I am affiliated with a number of local charitable organizations, such as, Ozzie’s Kids, It's In the Bag, The Mitten Tree, and Liam Nation. Personally and through Dependable Kid Care, I participate in a number of local charitable events. I funded a scholarship, through the Valley Patriot BASH 2018, in honor of local tow-truck driver, Dan Coady, who was killed in the line of duty, the recipients were two young ladies from No Andover to further their educations. I also organized and hosted a large fundraiser in 2014 for one of my daycare families “Tricia’s Pink Ribbon Fund” where we raised over $6500 that went directly to the family. I am very passionate about helping others and paying it forward and always try to encourage others to do the same.
Dawn Loring, FCCA
Meet Dawn Loring, DKC's Certified Assistant. Dawn is 24 years old and a life-long Haverhill resident. She was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools where she graduated from in 2016. She lives with her Mom and Stepdad and her Autistic Brother who she helps care for when she is not busy working; Dawn is not only a full-time Assistant here at DKC but she also works at a local antique shop. Dawn is a "proud cat-mom" to Mittens and Autumn and also has a Bearded Dragon named "Toothless" that comes to visit the daycare from time to time, for show and tell (the kids LOVE him!!!)
Dawn came to us with daycare center experience and fabulous references but we have since trained her on the workings of home based Child Care and helped her receive her Certified Assistant Certificate through MA EEC. Dawn is CPR and First Aid Certified and has many hours of additional Child Care Training Continuing Education.
Dawn has participated with us in many community programs such as It's In the Bag and the Mitten Tree, as well as Cards for Seniors at local area Nursing Facilities.
Dawn has proven herself to be a valuable asset to Dependable Kid Care over the last year (plus). The kids and the families love her and all she has added to our program, her personality and creativity has been a blessing to DKC. We look forward to being your child care "TEAM" for years to come!!!
